Weed & Wine Wednesday Elevation [E101]

Hello Sexy Stoners! Welcome to our Weed & Wine Page where you'll find our monthly calendar and a sum up and review of our Wednesday sesh.

TODAY'S TOPIC | Cannabis & Beauty

This week we're chilling with the girls discussing the weed we smoke and how weed/cbd is hitting the mainstream beauty market.

WOW! If only I could show you all the pictures LOL, you'd understand why these pictures are shaky. The entire entourage had an amazing evening. Saying hello to old friends and meeting new ones. We gathered on this Weed & Wine Wednesday to show support for our fellow sister as she grows her business in the beauty industry.

Let's dive in...

With cannabis becoming legalized in so many places there has been much discussion about the health benefits of this beautiful plant. Cannabis has also recently been having quite a moment within the beauty industry. CBD, (the non-psychoactive chemical compound found in the marijuana plant), has been used by several brands in products including mascaras and moisturisers.

According to Brightfield Group, a company that specialises in cannabis and CBD market research, CBD is the "next hot, functional beauty ingredient", that may have a similar impact on the beauty industry as shea butter and aloe.

Furthermore, due to the increased interest in cannabis for medicinal, recreational and cosmetic use, the CBD industry is expected to reach an estimated value of $22bn (£16bn) by 2022.

It's amazing how many companies are on the fast track to adding infused beauty products to their line.

  • Sephora launched its first cannabis-infused cosmetics brand called “High Beauty”.

  • Estée Lauder's Origins brand also became one of the first mainstream beauty companies to release cannabis-infused products earlier this year.

[MJ] was spot on when she said "Slowly but surely things have changed in the way people perceive marijuana. It's everywhere." Some of [MJ] friends think she's a pothead, for lack of a better term, while many others in her circle have their hands deep in the cannabis industry.

I'm sure as time goes by the more individuals will come around and learn to understand the health benefits this magnificent plant has to offer.

We see new brands popping up all the time and some of the old ones jumping on the bandwagon. To the companies I say go for it, to the consumers I say educate yourself.

We had a lot of questions for our beauty host but the more we sipped and smoked the more intriguing the evening became. A good time, that's what Weed & Wine is all about, Education Elevation and a Damn Good Time!

| THE STRAIN |

we smoked

A) Pineapple Express

Pineapple Express combines the potent and flavorful forces of parent strains Trainwreck and Hawaiian. The smell is likened to fresh apple and mango, with a taste of pineapple, pine, and cedar. This hard-hitting hybrid provides a long-lasting energetic buzz.

B) Kandy Kush

Combines two California classics, OG Kush (thought to be the “Christopher Wallace” cut) and Trainwreck, to make a tasty indica-dominant hybrid (although sativa phenotypes displaying more of the Trainwreck structure have been noted). Like the name suggests, the flavor is sweet like candy with a strong lemon-Kush scent. Kandy Kush provides a potent body high with pronounced pain relief.

| THE WINE |

we sipped

B) Moscato & Peach

Sparkling Wine is a sweet Champagne bursting with flavors of sweet peach, honey and hints of orange. This California wine is refreshing with a crisp finish. Very light and refreshing for summer with a very low alcohol content.

A) White Wine

This fine white wine presents an intense aroma of fresh citrus fruits, expression of herbs and hints of flower petals. Small bubbles caress the palate leaving a dry, smooth aftertaste.

| THE REVIEW |

unanimous

THE WEED

The decision was a bit difficult as both strains were very good, but we all decided that Pineapple Express was the winner! Less coughing with this strain. This Pineapple Express came from 46 ReLeaf, downtown, OKC. It was also a very happy buzz.

THE WINE

Hands down the Moscato & Peach was BOMB! We actually went through a few bottles this evening. Such a sweet tantalizing bouquet that actually paired well with both strains.

That’s it for this session of W&WW! Thanks for keeping me company and letting me have a space to share this journey. I’ll be back again soon with another post/video, until then please remember to be safe and responsible with your cannabis use, puff puff pass the love, and smoke weed daily,

I'd love to have you join us for a W&WW journey.
